Virtual Brick Donor Wall - Music Pavilion Appeal

To view our online Virtual Brick Donor Wall in support of the Music Pavilion Appeal, click here to access the relevant page.

We pride ourselves on being part of a special school community/'family, that supports our young people whilst they are here and also when they move on to higher education, apprenticeships or work.  Indeed we are fortunate that some former students and indeed some current parents are able to help the School and our students either financially or by offering work experience or careers advice. Below are some of the ways in which you too can get involved and support the School.  We value all the support we are offered and would like to take this opportunity to thank you, if you are considering helping us in some way.

Donating to our Music Appeal

Ewell Castle School has launched a Music Appeal, to raise funds to build a dedicated new music pavilion and a number of orchestral instruments.  The Music Appeal will deliver:

  • State-of-the art music and performance facilities
  • Improved learning environment for all our pupils
  • Local community outreach opportunities

Music Appeal Flyer

Our hope is that all members of our School community, past and present, will contribute to the appeal in some form or other.  In addition, we are offering building and classroom naming rights to our major gift donors.  To view the Music Pavilion Appeal flyer please click on the pdf.

To discuss any aspect of tax effective giving to the Music Pavilion Appeal or the Instrument Appeal (including legacies), please contact Ms Carol Hernandez, Marketing, Development and Alumni Manager.   Tel: +44 (0) 20 8394 3578        Email: c.hernandez@ewellcastle.co.uk    If you are a UK tax payer, we can reclaim 25% on your gift, thus increasing the value of your gift to the School.  Higher rate tax payers can claim the difference between the rate they pay and basic rate on their donation.

How You Can Give and Gift Aid

Currently you can contribute to the Music Appeal either by a) sending a cheque payable to "Ewell Castle School", b) by arranging a bank transfer for the amount you wish to give or c) by setting up a Standing Order.  By the end of May 2016 we will have a My Donate button on the School website, which will enable potential donors to give to the Music Appeal by using their credit cards online.  Watch this space.

If you are a UK tax payer the value of any gift to Ewell Castle School's Music Pavilion Appeal can be increased by up to 25% for every £1 that you give - at no extra cost to you.  All you need to do is sign the Gift Aid declaration on the donation form which can be downloaded via the pdf below.  If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim tax relief in your tax return.

Leavers Deposit Donation Scheme

Last year, in line with most independent Schools, we introduced a 'Year 11 and Year 13 Leavers Deposit Donation Scheme'.  Parents of students leaving the School in Years 11 and 13, were asked if they would be willing to donate either the full amount, or a percentage of the initial entrance deposit back to Ewell Castle School, to enable us to make further investments in pupil learning and equipment.

If every one of our leavers’ parents were to make a donation to Ewell Castle School, this would go a long way towards securing the range of additional sport, music, art and design technology items that the School and the pupils themselves have identified as being important in making a positive contribution towards their learning and development.

Thanking our Donors

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the support and donation made to Ewell Castle School by Mr and Mrs Hazell to mark the occasion of their son Jack, leaving the School at the end of Year 13. The School would also like to take this opportunity to thank alumnus Peter Bell, for his kind donation towards the School in 2015..

Every gift to our School is greatly appreciated and if you choose to help in this or any other way, your generosity will make a real impact on the development of students at Ewell Castle School now and for future generations.  All our donors have the opportunity to remain anonymous or to be acknowledged by the School.  Thank you for your ongoing support.

Careers Support

We organise a bi-annual Careers Fair and are always keen to find people willing to offer advice and work experience, or to speak to students during their Sith Form enrichment classes.  Do get in touch if you are able to help.  Please contact our careers advisor, Mrs Karen Quin on email: k.quin@ewellcastle.co.uk
