Admissions Process

We encourage you to visit the School with your child during one of our Open Events. To apply for your child to come to Ewell Castle School, you will need to complete an application form and send this to The Registrar.  We will also require £125 registration fee which should be paid via electronic bank transfer  - details available under the Registration tab).

Existing Ewell Castle School pupils are not required to submit an application form when transfering from the Preparatory School to the Senior School. The same applies to our Year 11 pupils applying for a place in our Sixth Form.

 

Nursery/Reception

A Taster Session in our Nursery when your child will be informally assessed for readiness to join our setting.

Preparatory School

A Taster Day for your child which will include an assessment through observation in the classroom.

Senior School

Entrance assessment morning on Friday 29th November 2019.  Practical scholarship assessments will take place during the afternoon on this day.  The reserve entrance assessment morning date will be Tuesday 3rd December, there will be no practical scholarship assessments. If you wish your daughter or son to be considered for a scholarship, they must attend the entrance assessments on Friday 29th November 2019.  There will be no further opportunity available to be considered for a scholarship.  

Sixth Form

To enter the Sixth Form, potential students will have an interview with the Principal and a lesson taster session. Places offered are conditional upon GCSE (or equivalent) grades in the public examinations.  If you wish your daughter or son to be considered for a scholarship, they must attend the entrance assessments on Friday 29th November 2019.  There will be no further opportunity available to be considered for a scholarship.

Preparatory School Assessments

Applications for Nursery places are processed on a termly basis. Preparatory School applications will be processed during the Spring Term and will include pupils attending a Taster Day with their current year group which will include an assessment through observation in the classroom and a meeting with the Head of the Preparatory School. Outcome letters will be posted following the Taster Day.

APPLICATIONS FOR ENTRY INTO THE SENIOR SCHOOL (EXCLUDING SIXTH FORM) COMMENCING SEPTEMBER 2020 CLOSED ON FRIDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 2019.   

Senior School Entrance Assessments

The application deadline to apply for a place at the Senior School, a scholarship, or a bursary is Friday 8th November 2019.  All general entrance tests will take place on Friday 29th November or Tuesday 3rd December 2019 (reserve date) and will include assessments in English and Mathematics as well as an interview. Places will be offererd by the beginning of February 2020.  The School will accept applications throughout the year subject to space being available in a year group.  

 

13+ Entry

Due to the ongoing increase in demand for Year 7 places at Ewell Castle School, we cannot guarantee places will be available in Year 9.   If places are available, prospective Year 9 applicants will be invited to sit our entrance assessments in the autumn term prior to enrolment.

 

Special Educational Needs

Failure to disclose any Special Educational Needs pertaining to your child may result in the offer of a place at Ewell Castle School being withdrawn. Failure to pay the school fees constitutes a breach of contract and this will result in a place at the School being withdrawn.
