Entry process and assessment

If applicants meet Ewell Castle School and Ewell Castle School Tennis Academy criteria, they are then invited to a tennis trial.  Applicants will then be informed of the outcome of their application once Ewell Castle School has the results of all three separate procedures:

1. Ewell Castle School academic entry requirements plus 

2. Ewell Castle School Tennis Academy entry criteria plus 

3. Passing the Ewell Castle School Tennis Academy tennis trial

We accept applications throughout the academic year.

Minimum joining criteria

All pupils wishing to join the Ewell Castle School Tennis Academy must meet Ewell Castle School's academic entry standards. Additionally, they must meet the Ewell Castle School Tennis Academy entry standards.  The joining criteria for Year 5 is a minimum standard where the player is County level, winning Grade 3 Finals and competing in Grade 2 and Grade 1 competitions.  The minimum joining criteria for Year 12 is of County and National standard and should be competing in ITFs and British Tours.   We also consider players entering the programme throughout the School if spaces are available.
