Nursery and Reception
Children can attend Nursery from the term in which they turn three, providing that they are fully toilet-trained. Our aim is to settle each child into a caring, stimulating and structured environment. The children learn to appreciate working with others, and to work independently. They develop the social skills of sharing, communication and learning respect for others, as well as a natural curiosity and self confidence.
Children in Reception gradually build up their activities during the year ready for the more formal timetable in Year 1. The curriculum of the Early Years Foundation Stage consists of the seven areas of learning as defined in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage which dovetail into a more subject led timetable.
