Are you at university? Why not join our new programme and become an 'OE university buddy' like Michael Slavin, Rheanna Cottam, Joey Hillman, Alex Hillman, Joe Koppenhout and Prince Botchwey who have all voluntered to become an OE buddy.

What is the 'OE buddy' programme?

We’re looking for Old Ewellians who are current university students to become a 'buddy' to one or more of our 2018 Ewell Castle School Year 13 Leavers who might be joining the same university that you are at.

If I volunteer to help, what would I need to do?

Very little! The programme is about providing a friendly familiar face for OEs joining their new universities and will involve meeting up once or maybe twice during the first few weeks at university so the 'OE buddy' can answer any specific questions the new student may have about their university and/or show them around.

No formal mentoring is involved and it will not take up much time.

What happens next?

2018 A Level results day is 16th August and we will provide all Year 13 Leavers with information on the OE buddy programme when they collect their results.

We will add your contact details to the OE buddy list, match up Year 13 Leavers to relevant university buddies and provide both parties with each others contact details by 14th September 2018.

Prize Draw - Amazon vouchers

To encourage as many OEs (who are current university students) to volunteer as an 'OE buddy' we're organising a prize draw on Friday 14th September 2018 at noon. The names of all those who have volunteered to be an 'OE buddy' will be entered into the prize draw and three names will be drawn at random. Winners will each win a £20.00 Amazon e voucher.
