Data Protection Notice
Upon leaving Ewell Castle School, our students automatically become members of THE OLD EWELLIANS ASSOCIATION. The purpose of the Old Ewellians Association is to promote links between all members of the School community, past and present, to help Old Ewellians maintain or renew contact with each other and the School, as well as to provide Old Ewellians with social and networking opportunities. During their last term in the School, Year 11 and Year 13 students will be asked to complete an Alumni Registration Form, which will enable the Alumni Office to provide Old Ewellians with relevant communications after Old Ewellians leave Ewell Castle School. It will also enable the Alumni Office to keep former student personal contact data on the Ewell Castle School Old Ewellians Association/Alumni and Development Office database, so that Old Ewellians do not miss out on any of the many opportunities the Old Ewellians Association can provide.
Alumni personal data will be held by Ewell Castle School’s Old Ewellians Association/Alumni and Development Office and it will comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. Old Ewellians Alumni - Privacy Notice
Here at Ewell Castle School’s Old Ewellians Association/Alumni and Development Office, we take your privacy seriously and your personal information will be held on the Ewell Castle School Old Ewellians Association/Alumni and Development Office database in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Security measures to protect your personal information and privacy are in place and the data will be used for Alumni and Development purposes. The only people who will see your data are Ewell Castle School Alumni and Development Office personnel and/or agents contracted by them. Some alumni data may be shared with academic, administrative and support departments at Ewell Castle School e.g. The Careers Office, to promote close links between the School and its former students, staff and parents. Additionally contact details may be provided to Old Ewellians Association Alumni Year/Decade Representatives (who are themselves Ewell Castle School alumni) and/or Committee Members of the Old Ewellians Association, who have signed a data protection agreement.
The Alumni and Development Office uses the contact details from the alumni and development database to send out regular (usually monthly) email communication to those on the Alumni and Development Office database. The purpose of these emails is to update Old Ewellians on reunions, sporting and social events and news concerning Ewell Castle School and any developments, School fundraising projects and news of its former pupils and staff. From time to time, the Alumni and Development Office contacts alumni to ask you to update your contact details via the School website.
