The Year Group Parent Ambassador programme evolved from the Prep School Class Rep system as well as from the whole School Principal’s Breakfasts.
Their aim is to help co-ordinate and provide parent feedback to the School in an easy digital platform, with the added benefit of anonymity unless parents specifically ask their Parent Ambassador to inform the School of their details. There are typically two, Year Group Parent Ambassadors per Year Group and successful applicants remain in post for the duration of the academic year in which they are appointed.
This year as there are Class Reps for Years 7, 9, 10, and 11 these parents will also be the Parent Ambassadors for those Years. We do still require 2 Parent Ambassadors for Year 8, and 2 for the Sixth Form. If you would like to apply, please email Ms Hernandez at firstname.lastname@example.org by midday Friday 13th November 2020, stating which Year Group you are applying for. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application the following week.
The role involves the following responsibilities:
1. Being one of two parent representatives per Year Group.
2. Along with the other Year Group Parent Ambassadors, to attend two evening meetings with the Principal and senior members of the leadership team to outline any concerns or requests from your Year Group. These are likely to be virtual events via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
3. Giving permission for the School to email your personal email address to all parents in the Year Group you represent, so they can email you with questions or concerns they have that they would like you to put to the Principal at the meetings.
