To enhance our Pastoral Care provision and to work alongside the current pastoral team and Heads of Year, we also offer the services of our whole School Chaplain, Ms Ikwuemesi, who offers pastoral and spiritual support wherever appropriate, to pupils and staff. The Chaplain can be a valuable independent listening ear, helping staff and pupils. This confidential support helps everyone, of all faiths and beliefs, to share concerns or personal issues that they may not be willing to express to others. Ms Ikwuemesi is always happy to see staff and pupils, just pop up to her office next to the Heads of Year room at the following times.

Wednesdays: 09:50am - 10:40am and 1:45pm - 15:30pm
Thursdays: 11:00am - 11:50am and 14:45pm - 14:35pm
Fridays: 13:45pm - 14:35pm

We also offer a counseling service at the Senior School. This is led by Mrs Carolyn Varney and appointments to see her are by referral and must be made in advance by the relevant Head of Year. However, Mrs Varney will be running no appointment necessary drop-in sessions every Thursday lunchtime 12:45pm-13:40pm. Pupils will be able to just pop in to see her in “The Study” on the first floor of The Castle, opposite the Careers Room. Ask Reception if Mrs Varney is around.
