Ewell Castle School is proud to announce this year’s record-breaking GCSE results, which reflect the School’s dedication to academic high performance, personal excellence and the pursuit of a rounded and grounded education. Our pupils’ achievements reflect not only their academic prowess, but also their growth as confident, resilient individuals, prepared to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our Year 11 pupils for their remarkable GCSE results and we look forward to their continued success as they advance to the next stage of their education, with the majority embarking on A-level and BTEC courses at Ewell Castle Sixth Form. We also send our thanks to our whole learning community, not least our unstintingly supportive families and our relentlessly inspiring staff.
86% of all GCSE grades were 9-5, with 41% of grades at 9-7.
87% of pupils achieved a grade 5 or above in English and Maths.
88% of pupils attained 5 or more grades 9-5, with an impressive 31% of pupils achieving 5 or more grade 9-7s. 28% of pupils achieved at least 1 grade 9.
96% of pupils gained 5 or above grades 9-4, including maths and English.
Michael Salman is our overall top performing GCSE pupil this year, achieving 8 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8 and 1 Grade 7.
