Ewell Castle School’s vision is to inspire and nurture its pupils to achieve within a happy, family-friendly atmosphere. The building of a dedicated Music Pavilion is central to this next phase of its development plans.

Peter Harris, Principal commented “In recent years, our Music Department have developed and expanded participation in music and live performances across the School, which has included Chapel Choir and Scholars Concerts. All our pupils have the opportunity to access and engage in a variety of musical genres including musical theatre. The School performed Oliver! at the Epsom Playhouse earlier this year and has rebooked the theatre for February 2017 to perform “Bugsy Malone”. The new Music Pavilion will deliver a dedicated, state-of-the-art music facility and improved learning environment which all our pupils will benefit from.”

The School has launched a £100,000 fundraising appeal to raise money for the new building and is working with its current parents and former pupils to secure the funding necessary to complete the project. The building work began during the summer holidays and it will be completed in the New Year. Mr Harris, can be seen in the photograph digging the first sod of turf from the croquet lawn, wearing a hard hat and high visibility jacket against the backdrop of the Castle building. The croquet lawn will be re seeded next year when the building work is complete and will once again be used by the Sixth Form and staff to play croquet during the summer term.
