Henry recently took part in a major windsurfing competition in Palma de Majorca using the full Olympic kit (another major step on the learning curve). As the competition was a Rio Olympics qualifier for some nations, there were many top international sailors competing and Henry achieved a very satisfactory position half way down the fleet of eighty competitors.

Congratulations to Ms Wilkinson, member of our history department and Vice Captain of Wales ladies hockey team, who is currenty playing for Holcombe Hockey Club, a premier league team in Kent. She is now on 105 caps and has become only the 5th Welsh player to achieve 100 caps. She now only has 21 caps left to become the most capped Welsh player of all time.

Chemistry students from Ewell Castle School took part in an experiment to investigate materials that block or limite UV light and shared their data with thousands of students from around the world. Their mission was to stop UV light harming an astronaut. What materials worked best? Do they have the right properties for a spacesuit?
