A Level Results - 2015
With an expanding co-educational Sixth Form, we are pleased to see a continued improvement in A Level results this year with 71.4% of examinations sat being A* - C, up from 62% last year. With an overall pass rate of 98.2% and 20% of results being A* or A grades, our students can be rightly proud of their achievements.
Notable performances include Oliver Higgs with A*, A*, A at A Level and a C at AS Level, Tom Evans with A*, A* A at A Level and a B at AS Level and Jack Hazell with A*, A, A at A Level and an A at AS Level. Oliver is going to study Physics at the University of Surrey, Tom will take up a place at the University of Warwick to study Mathematics and Jack is taking the highly competitive and prestigious course in Model-Making at the Arts University in Bournemouth.
For those students who have decided to apply to university this year (84% of the Upper Sixth) the majority have achieved their first choice of university, although some students will be applying through the adjustment or clearing processes.
Principal Peter Harris commented “I am thrilled that so many of our students have achieved the grades that they need to move on to the next stage in their education. This reflects the hard work and dedication of the students at Ewell Castle School and the contribution of a dedicated teaching staff.”
