Prep School Applications

Application deadlines for September 2026: 11+, 13+ and 16+
If you are applying for a place for your child for September 2026, the deadline for applications is Friday 31st October 2025.
Scholarship application deadline
The deadline for applying for a September 2026 scholarship for an 11+, 13+ or 16+ place is Friday 31st October 2025.

Bursary application deadline
If you are interested in applying for a means-tested bursary for entry in September 2026, please indicate your interest on the application form at the time of applying for a place at the School. The closing date for registering your interest is Friday 31st October 2025.
Bursary outcomes will be issued at the same time as offer letters before Christmas.
Mid-Year place
If you are interested in an immediate or Mid-Year place for your child, please contact admissions@ewellcastle.co.uk
Giving notice

A completed application form (available on the website) should be emailed to the Admissions Department admissions@ewellcastle.co.uk along with copies of the pupil’s most recent school report and either their passport or birth certificate. The registration fee can be paid via bank transfer using the following details:

Senior

If your child is offered a place after the assessment days in November, you will have until the first Friday in March to accept the place.

Reception to Year 6
Your child will be invited to have a Taster Day with their current year group.
For 11+
Pupils are invited to attend our Entrance Assessment Morning which takes place at the end of November. The Maths paper and the first part of the English paper (comprehension task) will be conducted as an online assessment taking place within the School. All pupils will have access to a device to complete the assessments. There will also be a hand-written creative writing task that forms the second part of the English paper.
For 13+
The Maths paper, Verbal Reasoning paper and the first part of the English paper (comprehension task) will be conducted as an online assessment taking place within the School. All pupils will have access to a device to complete the assessments. There will also be a hand-written creative writing task that forms the second part of the English paper.
Year 12
Candidates will have an interview with the Head of Sixth Form.
Offered places are conditional upon the required GCSE (or equivalent) grades being achieved.
Mid-year
We do occasionally have mid-year places, please contact Admissions.
For students who are overseas the assessments can be sat at their current school.
Registration Fee
£180 (inclusive of vat) for all years

Fees are reviewed annually.
We offer a School bus from SW London.
We offer the 15 hours Funded Early Education for children aged four and up to and including the term they turn five. The School does not offer the 30 hours Funded Childcare. Please see the Surrey County Council Website for further information.
Scholarships are available in the following areas for Senior School pupils joining Year 7, Year 9, and Sixth Form: Academic, Dance, Design and Technology, Drama, Music and Sport. In addition, Sixth From students can apply for a Photography scholarship.
Bursaries are available for Senior School pupils only. The bursary award is at the discretion of the Governors and will be dependent on the funds available to the School and the demand in any particular year. Applications are processed by our Finance Team who work with Bursary Administration Limited (BAL) who review the applications and documentation on behalf of the School.
School starts at 08:30am and finishes at 16:00pm. There is Early Morning Care available from 07:50am - 08:25am and After School Care until 18:00pm at the Prep. Co-Curricular activities, Clubs, Societies are available at the Senior School before, during and after School and after school at the Prep five days a week, all finishing at 17:00pm.
