Music has an important role to play at Ewell Castle and it brings the wider school community together regularly.
The department teaches music from Year 7 to 9 and Music is an option in Year 9. Thereafter pupils may choose to continue the study of music at GCSE and A Level.
We provide musical tuition to any student who wishes to learn an instrument, from and to any standard and a wide selection of instruments is offered.
There are a variety of musical groups and ensembles. These include a variety of choirs (including chapel choir, senior a capella choir) and instrumental groups such as concert band, percussion club and chamber orchestra.
Every pupil has access to music-making whether they learn an instrument or not, they have the opportunity to engage with the wider community including the local parish church, to create enjoyable and inspiring events for the school community.
