Year 13 Leavers and Parents - Deposit Donation Appeal

Year 13 Leavers Deposit Donation Scheme

When students join the Senior School, the entrance deposit is retained until such time that the student leaves Ewell Castle School.  Historically, once all outstanding fees had been settled, the money was returned to parents.  Most independent schools now ask parents of Year 13 students if they would be willing to make a contribution to their child’s school.  They ask parents whether they would be willing to gift either the full amount of the deposit, or a percentage of this, back to the school, to enable them to make further investments in learning and equipment.  If every one of our Year 13 leavers’ parents were to make a donation to Ewell Castle School, this would go a long way towards securing the range of additional sport, music, art and design technology items that the School and the pupils themselves have identified as being important in making a positive contribution towards their learning and development and which the fees alone cannot provide.

In 2015, Ewell Castle School introduced the Year 13 Leavers Deposit Donation Scheme and we would like to take this opportunity to thank those parents who supported this scheme by donating either the full amount of their deposit or a percentage of it back to Ewell Castle School.  

Every gift to our School is greatly appreciated and if you choose to help in this or any other way, your generosity will make a real impact on the development of students at Ewell Castle School now and for future generations.  All our donors have the opportunity to remain anonymous or to be acknowledged by the School.  Thank you for your ongoing support.

How You Can Give and Gift Aid

Currently you can contribute to the Music Appeal either by a) sending a cheque payable to "Ewell Castle School", b) by arranging a bank transfer for the amount you wish to give or c) by setting up a Standing Order.  By the end of May 2016 we will have a My Donate button on the School website, which will enable potential donors to give to the Music Appeal by using their credit cards online.  Watch this space.

If you are a UK tax payer the value of any gift to Ewell Castle School's Music Pavilion Appeal can be increased by up to 25% for every £1 that you give - at no extra cost to you.  All you need to do is sign the Gift Aid declaration on the donation form which can be downloaded via the pdf below.  If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim tax relief in your tax return.
