Personal, Social & Health Education and Citizenship is a taught subject in Years 7-10 and in the Sixth Form. The subject is taught in form groups to the end of Year 10 and topics/themes addressed are supported in tutor time and in assemblies.
In year 10 students sit the AQA examination 'Preparation for Working Life' which provides a focus to the work in this year. The qualification is equivalent to a GCSE short (half) course.
In the Sixth Form, as part of the 'Enrichment' course offered, and in addition to study skills work, team building and leadership activities, debating, careers (incl. UCAS guidance and outside speakers), students have the option of providing an extended project qualification (EPQ) or following a Sports leadership course.
