History is taught in form groups at Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9, age 11-13 years). The subject is an option subject then at GCSE (KS4) and at AS/A level.
Class sizes at KS3 and GCSE average about eighteen. At AS and A level class sizes are typically eight to ten. Students are entered for Edexcel examinations at GCSE and AQA assessment at AS/A level.
The department enjoys two designated rooms equipped with interactive whiteboards and/or other technologies.
