The Junior School

At Glyn House, the Junior School maintains a friendly, family atmosphere which encourages the child to enjoy the learning process. The children learn to appreciate working with others and working independently. They develop the essential social skills of sharing, communicating and learning respect for others as well as a natural curiosity and self-confidence. A highly committed and well-qualified staff work in strong partnership with parents.

We value the 'whole child' and develop children's individuality through a range of stimulating experiences and an extensive programme of visits and enriching extra-curricular activities.

At Key Stage 2, children's potential and talents are nurtured in small classes through a broad, balanced curriculum within a differentiated structure, to meet each child's needs in every aspect – academic, artistic, musical and sporting.

The new playground sits within several acres of splendid grounds. Added to which, the Junior School pupils enjoy the benefits of the many facilities at the Senior School, in particular, the Sports Hall and the additional playing fields.

  • Pupils develop the essential skills and attitudes for work and study. They are articulate and speak both confidently and intelligently.
  • From an early age pupils want to learn. They enjoy work and are well motivated & ... ... work hard enjoy what they do and persevere at set tasks.
  • Pupils experiences are enriched by a diverse range of well-supported extra curricula activities.
