Module 2
Saying where you live, family, pets, description of themselves and others, physically and as a person.

Talking about school, school time, time table, telling the time, the school day, and clothes.
Module 4
Learning about different sports, saying which sports they like and don’t like, talking about activities in their free time, saying what they do at the week-end and talking about the weather.

Module 5
Learning about how to use the verb « Habiter » in the present tense. Explaining where they live and describing their house/ their flat/ their bedroom etc…
Talking about what they do in different rooms.
Using Preparer = to prepare/
prendre = to take
dormir = to sleep
faire=to do/tomake.
Module 6
Les vacances. The main task of this module is to teach the Futur proche = The Nearest Future. Careful learning of the present tense « ALLER » = TO GO followed by an infinitive takes place. Learning of holiday based activities is learnt. Asking directions and giving directions

Irregular past participles in perfect tense. Perfect tense with Etre. Reflexive verbs in present tense(all forms).
24-hour clock.
Irregular verbs in present tense (FAIRE, POUVOIR).

Family and friends. Favourite things. Parts of the head. Parts of the body. Illnesses + at the chemist’s.
Module4
Breakfast food and drink. Shops and shopping for food. Quantities of items. Ordering food and drink in a snack bar. Describing a day in the past.
GRAMMAR:
Possessive adjectives. Direct object pronouns(le/la/l’/les). Comparatives/Superlatives. Agreement of Adjectives. Pour + Infinitive, Regular and irregular plurals of nouns. Imperative(vous form). Partitive article (revision) Quantities. Possession using de. Pronoun en. Perfect tense with Avoir and Etre.

Arranging a visit. Transport. Sightseeing in Paris. Using the metro (finding the way). Talking in the past about a trip.
Module 6
Choosing a holiday. Youth hostel facilities. Booking a youth hostel. Instructions/signs. Talking about a past holiday.

Vouloir in present tense. Aller + infinitive (revision). Y.POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES (REVISION). NUMBERS above100. Perfect tense with avoir and etre (revision). Je voudrais/ pourrais/ preferais + infinitive. Comparatives(revision). Defense de/interdit de/ne pas + infinitive. Perfect tense (revision)

Getting to know their own town and what you can do there, activities you do and have done (Past Tense).
Module 2
Learning how to speak about your family, Describing your home. Helping at home. Relationships. French speaking communities.The immediate future(aller+infinitive). Depuis+present tense. Ordinal numbers. Direct object pronoun(le,la,l’,les). Indirect object pronoun (en). Present tense of devoir.

Module 3
focuses on the context of discussing and arranging future visits. Places and directions in town. Describing life in the past. The grammar focus is on learning to understand and manipulate past, present and future tense. Imperfect for descriptions and opinions. PERFECT TENSE + PERFECT TENSE.
Module4
focuses on the context of fitness,with information about sport and exercise and healthy eating. Manipulating the different tenses (presenbt, immediate future, perfect and imperfect) continues to be the main grammar theme.

Module 5
focuses on understanding and giving opinions about clothes and fashion,friendship and music. The grammar focus on using different cxonjunctions and stuctures. Skills being developed at this stage include:
asking questions,
expressing feelings and opinions,
and using the target language for real purposes.
Module 6
focusses on understanding and discussing the news and a TV programme. The context of weather is revisited in the form of forecasts. The future events are also discussed,both in the context of horoscopes and in that of planning a trip. Further work with imperfect tense and perfect tense. The future is introduced to the pupils.

This term will be devoted to exman technique in listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing and revision of the Topic Areas already covered.

There will be a two days course during the Easter vaccation.
