Classics is part of the school's Gifted and Talented programme. 11 boys who show particular aptitude in English and Humanities are selected at the end of Year 8. They study in one hour a week after school in Years 9 and 10 and sit an AQA GCSE at the end of Year 10.
The department enjoys a designated room with audiovisual projection facility.
