Art is taught in all form groups at Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9, age 11-13 years). The subject is an option subject then at GCSE (KS4) and at AS/A level.
Form sizes at KS3 average about eighteen, at GCSE and AS/A level option groups there are then typically twelve and six respectively. Students are entered for AQA Fine Art GCSE. At AS/A level students also follow an AQA Fine Art course. Some students also take advantage of A level Photography offered at Greencare School.
Classes are taught in two specialist open plan rooms with facilities for painting drawing and print. Designated computer facilities and interactive whiteboards are also available.
